WLVR’s Brad Klein spoke with Jim Deegan, Executive Editor of LehighValleyNews.com, about the release of the news organization’s first Lehigh Valley Quality of Life Survey. It was conducted by Muhlenberg College Institute of Public Opinion, and it’s the subject of a new series of called Life in the Lehigh Valley.
Deegan pointed out one data point that drew his attention as a long-time newsman and resident of the Valley: how personal outlook of younger residents is currently more optimistic than that of lifelong residents of the region. He contrasts that to the situation twenty years ago, when many young people were leaving the Valley to find opportunities elsewhere.
