Heads up! Here are 5 things you want to know today.

Dec. 6 celebrates National Put on Your Own Shoes Day, according to the National Day Calendar. Its explanation states that it could metaphorically be saying it's a day to be independent or it could just celebrate shoes which we've actually only been wearing for 40,000 years. Or maybe some days it just FEELS like those darn shoes have been on my feet for 40,000 years, depending on the shoes.

Another shoe-related day celebrated on Dec. 6 is St. Nicholas Day, the night before which we used to put our shoes outside our bedroom doors for St. Nick to fill with candy.

1. The National Weather Service at Mt. Holly, NJ, says that on Tuesday we'll have, "Rain likely, then rain."Alrighty then. Bring your umbrella, for sure. The high temperature during the day will be 52 degrees and the low for our rainy Tuesday night will be around 49 degrees. And keep that umbrella handy for Wednesday.
