Heads up! Here are 5 things you don't want to miss today...

It's been a week, and it's only Tuesday. Here are 5 things that can help you power through:

1. Watch out for some patchy fog as you head out in the morning. The National Weather Service in Mount Holly, NJ, also predicts sunny conditions after the fog burns off and a high of 71 degrees. Looking ahead, a cold front is expected to pass through on Thursday with the potential for a few thunderstorms with heavy downpours and gusty winds, putting an end to our summerlike weather.

2. It's OK to give blood again even if you have visited the U.K, Ireland or France between 1980-2001. Indeed, the Red Cross really wants you to stop by and donate. Especially if your blood is Type O. Read all about it.

3. Let's hear it for the White House Christmas tree! This year a tree from Pa. — Schuylkill County, no less — will tower over the gifts between Jill and Joe and all the grand kiddos. Read more about it.

4. Craving Jamaican? You are in luck: Mikey's Carribean Restaurant opened Aug. 8 in Allentown and is full of Jamaican delights. Ryan Kneller tells us that, "Fish, including snapper, parrotfish and sliced kingfish, can be prepared in your choice of three styles: steamed, brown stewed or escovitched."

And if you're like me, you wonder what the devil is escovitched fish?

It's fish that is fried in oil to make the skin crispy, before being topped with a mixture composed of onions and bell peppers, scotch bonnet pepper, and vinegar.
Yes, please.

Read more about it, and enjoy!

5. Coming up we have a story about some abandoned bunnies🐇🐇 Olivia Marble gives us the 411 on the furry woodland creatures.
