BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Two well-known health care providers in the Lehigh Valley have signed a contract to continue their work together.
St. Luke’s University Health Network will provide employee coverage through Capital Blue Cross for the next three years, the companies said in a release.
“St. Luke’s has had a longstanding relationship with Capital that has assured their members easy access to the kind of high-quality outcomes and patient experiences for which St. Luke’s has long been known,” St. Luke’s Chief Financial Officer Scott Wolfe said.
Capital has provided health care coverage to all of St. Luke’s employees and their family members since 2022. The new three-year contract starts in 2025.
The hospital system is among the largest employers in the area, with 20,000 employees.
“Capital Blue Cross is honored that St. Luke’s continues to put its trust in us to serve their employees and families,” Capital Chief Executive Officer Todd Shamash said.
