BETHLEHEM, Pa. -- Influenza cases are on the rise across the country, including in the Lehigh Valley.
Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) will offer a half-dozen flu vaccine clinics for children.

Multiple clinics are scheduled over the next week and a half across the Lehigh Valley.

LVHN pediatrician Dr. Debra Carter said it is one of the best ways to protect children and parents from getting sick.
“Early data suggest that this year’s flu vaccine should be protective against the predominant circulating influenza strains,” said the executive vice chair of pediatrics.
The shot is available to ages 6 months and older. No appointment is needed.

Monday, Nov. 14: 3-6 p.m., Health Center at Trexlertown Conference Room, 6900 Hamilton Blvd.,

Monday, Nov. 14: 3-6 p.m., Health Center at Palmer Township, First Floor Conference Rooms, 3701 Corriere Road, Easton.
Tuesday, Nov. 15: 3-7 p.m., Lehigh Valley Hospital–17th Street, Cafeteria, First Floor, 1627 W. Chew St., Allentown.
Wednesday, Nov. 16: 3-6 p.m., Suite 4, Health Center at Richland Township, 320 West Pumping Station Road, Quakertown.
Sunday, Nov. 20: 8 a.m.-noon, Health Center at Lehigh Valley Hospital–Carbon, First Floor Conference Rooms, 2226 Blakeslee Blvd. Drive East, Lehighton.
Wednesday, Nov. 23: 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Health Center at Trexlertown, Conference Room, 6900 Hamilton Blvd., Trexlertown.
