The only nature center in the U.S. situated on a superfund site, officials at the Lehigh Gap Nature Center this spring are celebrating its 20th anniversary.

WLVR’s Brad Klein speaks with Environment & Science Reporter, Molly Bilinski about her work reporting on the Lehigh Gap Nature Center in Slatington for WLVR and LehighValleyNews.com.

The Nature Center is celebrating ‘20 years of Conservation’ this week. Two decades ago, much of its 756 acres looked like a “barren and… toxic moonscape”, according to a spokesperson for the Center.

Today, thousands visit the restored grassland habitat each year for recreation. LGNC will hold more 20th anniversary events this year. Check out its website here.
