- Northampton County Elections Office will start ballot-on-demand voting for the Nov. 7 municipal election on Oct. 2
- Ballot-on-demand allows eligible voters to register, apply for a ballot and vote in person at the Elections Office with a valid ID
- Registered voters with a pending mail-in ballot application should await mailed ballots; they are not eligible for ballot-on-demand
EASTON, Pa. — The Northampton County Elections Office has announced that ballot-on-demand voting for the Nov. 7 municipal election will start Monday, Oct. 2.
To participate in ballot-on-demand voting, eligible individuals can register (if needed), fill out a ballot application, vote on a paper ballot and submit it during the same visit to the Elections Office.
A valid ID is required for ballot issuance.
Registered voters who have applied for a mail-in ballot are not eligible for ballot-on-demand and must await the arrival of their mailed ballot, officials said.
For a mail-in ballot to be counted, it must be enclosed in the yellow secrecy envelope and sealed without any identifying marks or symbols. The return envelope will be signed and dated on the back in the appropriate yellow boxes.
A mail-in ballot should be returned to the Election’s Office before 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 7. U.S. Postal Service postmarks will not be considered if received after the deadline.
Residents eligible to vote in Northampton County can visit the county Government Center at 669 Washington St., Easton on the following dates:
- 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 2-Friday, Oct. 13
- 8:30 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 16-Monday, Oct. 30
- 9 a.m.-noon Saturday, Oct. 22 and Saturday, Oct. 28
- 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 31
