Voters in Northampton County can now cast their ballots — ahead of the election on Nov. 8.
The county is using a system called "ballot-on-demand," which officials say allows people to register and vote in the same visit.
- Voters can now cast ballots for the 2022 general election
- Voters can register and vote in one visit to the Northampton County Government Center
- Voters who have already registered for mail-in ballots should wait until the ballot comes in the mail
Residents can visit the Northampton County Government Center in Easton to vote now. It's open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday.
Every resident who would otherwise be eligible to vote can use the ballot-on-demand system, unless they have already registered for mail-in voting. In that case, an official for the county said they should wait until that ballot comes in the mail. The government began sending mail ballots out on Monday.
Ballot-on-demand hours are scheduled to end on Nov. 1.
The deadline to register to vote in Pennsylvania is Oct. 24.
