EASTON, Pa. — With the city of Easton and the Delaware and Lehigh rivers as a backdrop, the rooftop floor of the Commodore building, 100 Northampton St., is preparing to open an indoor/outdoor restaurant this fall with seemingly as much emphasis on the view as the food.
- Thyme Rooftop Grille plans to open in fall 2023
- From the rooftop floor of the Commodore, views of the city and rivers will add to the dinner experience
- Thyme management is now hiring
Thyme Rooftop Grille, a sister to Grille 3501 in South Whitehall and Zest Bar + Grille in Bethlehem, plans to offer indoor and three-season outdoor dining on its balcony from which Easton's Downtown and College Hill are visible, according to a written announcement from owners, the Trapani family.
Inside, floor-to-ceiling windows will provide river views. Décor, and the name of the restaurant is largely dictated by a "life-sized see-through clock that serves as inspiration for our name and showcases the Delaware River," Mara Trapani said.
Thyme plans to stick with a dinner menu most of the week, with brunch being served on Saturdays and Sundays, as well.
