ALLENTOWN, Pa. -- A Macungie couple has purchased a property to expand their Allentown child care outfit.
- Ethia and Garry Dulorie purchased the almost 4,000-square-foot building at 3001 West Emaus Ave. for their day care expansion
- They will be moving and renaming Creative Kids Learning Academy, which has been open since 2013
- The new facility will be named The Lehigh School Academy of Early Education and will have space for 130 students, more than doubling the school's capacity
Ethia and Garry Dulorie of Macungie purchased a former mattress store at 3001 W. Emaus Ave. that will allow them to add enough space for approximately 130 pupils. After planned renovations to the site, they will be able to care for more than double the number of children they currently serve.
Creative Kids Learning Academy has been open since 2013 and serves about 55 children at 2925 West Emaus Ave. The new property is down the same street and is just under 4,000 square feet. The new property will be owned by the Dulories, instead of their current leasing agreement.
The Dulories run another daycare called The Lehigh School Academy of Early Education, which will also be the name of the newly expanded facility. There will be no changes to The Lehigh School Academy of Early Education at 1593 Lehigh Street in Allentown.
“There is a huge demand for quality childcare, especially in this area,” Ethia Dulorie said in a release. “This will allow us to accommodate more families.”
