SOUTH WHITEHALL TOWNSHIP, Pa. — The race toward the first public runs of Dorney Park's new Iron Menace roller coaster is picking up steam.
And the park is giving those who want to be among the first to experience the Northeast’s first-ever dive roller coaster's 95-degree, 160-foot drop more early chances to get onboard.
Dorney on Friday announced new Preseason Preview Days to be held April 27-28 and May 4-5.

On those days, Iron Menace will operate, as will "select rides and coasters, the park said.
Discount tickets, at $29 per person, are available for the preview days on Dorney Park's website ticket page.
The official grand opening of Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom's season is May 10.
“We are thrilled to open Iron Menace to the public early and offer these Preseason Preview Days,” Dorney General Manager Jessica Naderman said.

Dorney this month announced Iron Menace had been completed, and posted video of its test runs online.
Additional Passholder Preview Days for qualifying passholders will be held in advance, Dorney said. More information on that will be released, it said.
