BETHLEHEM, Pa. - “We have a 1 million dollar campaign Thanks to a generous couple who donated 250,000 dollars to help keep MusikFest and ArtsQuest alive,” said ArtsQuest CEO Kassie Hilgert.

She says after the couple’s donation, the board decided to build on it, matching up to $500,000 dollars.

ArtsQuest usually does about 4,000 camps, classes and concerts every year. So, Hilgert says 2020 has been tough.

“So far, since we have been shut down in March, we have lost up to 19 million dollars in revenue and counting. Like every other nonprofit, we have fixed costs that we can’t avoid and those things continue to accumulate, so we are seeing a dire impact from this pandemic,” she said.

Virtual Musikfest starts streaming this Friday but people can still go down to the SteelStacks for food to-go from vendors in the PNC Plaza.

Also, this weekend and next there’s an option to reserve a table in front of ArtsQuest on the Town Square or Levitt Pavilion to sit down, eat and hear live music.
